I just can't even fantum how this woman can take care of 14 children! There should be some type of regulations on the use of fertility drugs. I wonder if this woman did this to get some help and free stuff. You know how when multiples are born alot of companies will give the first year of diapers, or a free vehicle or something like that.

With my first child I tried to breastfeed and he wasn't getting enough milk from me. It was a horrible experience, so finally after a week of trying I decided to give my baby a bottle. This was the best thing for him. He turned into a happy little guy.

Then with my second everyone made comments on how it was horrible I didn't nurse my first child, so I went to classes and read all I could on breastfeeding. Once again, it just didn't work for me and the baby.

With my third, I started to not listen to others comments and immediately had him on a bottle. This is what worked for me and I have no regrets.

When the time comes, do what is best for you.

Hello all,I am wildwoman. I am a stay at home mom to a beautiful 6 year old daughter with Epilepsy,Cerebral Palsy,Multi Cystic kidney disease, and developmental delay. It is not easy to be a parent, then add on top of that a parent of a child with special needs. But I wouldn't change it for the world. My daughter has taught me a lot about myself and our family as a whole. Of course there are times when I feel overwhelmed, but it happens to the best of us. I am very open to discussing my life so ask away if you'd like.

My daughter has a para pro,an aide that helps her in a mainstreamed class room. So far I have been lucky. But starting next year she will be in 2st grade and a new school, and I have been warned I may need to fight for her para pro. I think it is sad for any parent to fight with the schools, but due to financial issues and other sometimes us parents have no choice but to fight. I agree with you he needs to be mainstreamed,I know it has done wonders for my daughter.

Recently, a woman made the news for having octuplets, through fertility drugs, of course. A couple of days lter it came out that she already had 6 children when she got pregnant with the octuplets.

My husband thinks there should be a limit on how many deductions for children any family can claim, and thatlimit should be 3. I think there may need to be a few hard and fast rules governing the use of fertility drugs after a family has had more than 3 children through a previous medically mediated pregnancy.

What are your thoughts?

It's amazing how some people assume that hte single parent needs all sorts of parenting "guidance"This attitude isn't nearly as prevalent as it was in past decades, but we still see som eof this.

How do you prevent others from meddling in your relationship with your kids?

Have you ended freindships because of attitudes about your being a single parent?

Rice and other cerieals are usually the first solids introduced to baby since they are less likely to create sensitivities, at least that is the theory in some places.

Are there other solids that can be used for those first steps toward real food, though?

I remember the moment I found out I was carrying twins like it was yesterday. While everyone else was ecstatic, I was feeling pretty serious about the imiplications.

The first thing I did was check out a library book about twin pregnancies and deliveries so that I could have som eidea of what might hapen, good and bad.

I was fortunate that I carried them full term and that they are now healthy 30-some year old men who are having the time of their lives.

W.I.C and her pediatrician told me this was ok because she was growing fine without it but I am curious if anyone else had a late starter with foods? And what foods they started with?

I agree with you on this one.

Why any parent should have to fight for their childs education is beyond me.

I remember when I was at school, we had a boy in class, much like you describe here, and he had an aide for the whole time we were in that school.

Againn , he was a wonderful boy, a great student and contributor to the class and none of his peers ever saw him as different to anyone else.

One of my closest friends has to fight the school district year after year.

Her son is a little slow (mentally handicapped). He needs the extra help in classes. He can't be mainstreamed into a normal classroom without an aide.

He is a great boy. He just learnes slower.

Every year she has to go and fight to get an aide. They want to keep him in a handicap class- he needs to be mainstreamed. He is not disruptive at all.

I'm glad that she is his mom (adopted him at birth) I don't know many people who would fight this fight year after year without backing down or giving up.

It should not be such a fight!
